You have decided to entrust the birth of your child to a surrogate mother
Thanks to these extraordinary women, for many families the problem of infertility has ceased to be a death sentence. A surrogate mother carefully carries and gives birth to a baby who was conceived using IVF from the cells of genetic parents or a donor.
From a medical point of view, surrogacy is substitute pregnancy and childbirth. An embryo is created from the cells of genetic parents. And then it is transferred into the uterine cavity of a woman who agreed to carry and give birth to a child genetically alien to her for a fee and always voluntarily.
Some believe that only for the sake of the impressive fee for the birth of a baby and for the sake of payments during pregnancy, surrogate mothers take on such responsibility. But pregnancy brings difficulties and completely changes a woman’s life. How many are willing to do this solely for the sake of money?
A woman's health must be ideal, her character balanced, and her soul good - otherwise it is impossible to grow within yourself and give birth to a baby for other people.
To help women understand the full extent of the responsibility and ensure they understand all the details of the process, ISA Fertility A psychologist works with each future surrogate mother.
How the surrogacy program is carried out
Genetic parents donate sperm and eggs. If necessary, donor eggs or sperm are used. The donor is chosen by the parents. According to the laws of the Russian Federation, a surrogate mother participating in the program cannot simultaneously act as an egg donor. This is done so that the child does not have a genetic connection with her.
Embryos are cultured from the resulting cells.
Embryos are usually ready for transfer after 3- 5 days. They undergo genetic diagnostics and the best ones are recommended for transfer. One or more embryos are placed in the uterine cavity of a surrogate mother for gestation. The number of embryos transferred depends on the decision of each family.
After confirmation of the surrogate mother's pregnancy, she is prescribed a medical observation protocol - tests, ultrasound, visits to the doctor, medications, right up to delivery.
After the birth of the child The surrogate mother signs documents that transfer parental rights to the genetic parents. Until discharge from the clinic, the child is with a nanny, and after discharge, he is transferred to his genetic parents.
Why contact a surrogacy agency
In Russia, surrogacy is regulated by official legislation. Most often, an agency acts as an intermediary between genetic parents and surrogate mother. Agencies monitor compliance with the rights and obligations of all parties, regulate everyday, legal and financial relations between genetic parents and surrogate mothers.
A formal agreement is concluded with each surrogate mother and with each family, which spells out the rights and obligations parties, the amount and timing of all payments and remuneration after the birth of the baby are indicated.
